Claire Simmons

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and we can work together towards the changes you’d like to make. My main approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), using proven techniques to help you understand patterns and develop tools that you can continue to use through your life.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I enjoy getting to know each client as an individual and integrate person-centred, compassion-focused, narrative, and mindfulness-based approaches, to suit your individual personality and needs.

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons — sometimes it’s a specific problem, other times it’s just a feeling that something isn’t quite right. You don’t have to face it alone.

Areas I can help with include:

  • Anxiety and social anxiety

  • Depression and low self-esteem

  • Obsessive or compulsive thoughts and behaviours

  • Feeling isolated or lonely

  • Relationship challenges, including dating, separation, or divorce

  • Life transitions

  • The effects of perimenopause or menopause
    Feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed

I am a MBACP registered therapist, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Counselling and Psychotherapy. I’ve worked in NHS, community healthcare, and private practice settings. I offer both in-person and online sessions.
