George Hargreaves
There can be a lot of pressure to just get on with life - working, coping, keeping everyone else happy. I’m George, a BACP-registered counsellor, and I offer a space to put that to one side for a while, slow down, talk openly and start to untangle things for yourself.
I work with adults coming to counselling for all sorts of reasons, with particular experience in stress and burnout, anxiety, addictive behaviours, grief and loss, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties.
I believe you have the capacity to find your own way, even when that might feel difficult to imagine. My role isn't to analyse you or tell you what to do, but to work alongside you with warmth and curiosity as we explore whatever you're facing.
I took the scenic route to becoming a therapist, after years running my own business and working in tech. I've also spent a fair bit of time meditating and have always loved being outdoors (the wilder the better!).
Alongside sessions at Vessel and online, I also offer walking therapy if you’d like the option of moving while we talk.
