Preeya Vadher
Hello, my name is Preeya and I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based here at Vessel Therapy Rooms on Park Street.
I offer a warm, relational and trauma-informed space where we can slow things down and begin to make sense of what has brought you here. Together, we can explore the stories, experiences, relationships and patterns that have shaped who you are, with compassion, curiosity and care.
My approach is grounded in the belief that we are shaped through connection, with ourselves, our bodies, our relationships, our communities and the world around us. Because every person is different, I adapt the way we work together to what feels most meaningful and supportive for you.
I believe therapy is a space where you can be met as a whole person; where your experiences can be witnessed, understood and explored at your own pace. Through deeper self-understanding, compassion and connection, we can create the possibility for growth and meaningful change.
My practice is informed by many years working in social justice and is grounded in an intersectional, feminist and anti-oppressive lens. I recognise the ways that identity, culture, relationships and wider social systems shape our experiences of ourselves and the world.
I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, secondary trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, chronic health conditions and the emotional complexities of caring for others. I also have a particular interest in neurodivergent experiences, including women and adults exploring later-identified autism and ADHD, and the impact of masking, sensory differences and belonging.
I welcome people from all backgrounds and identities, including those exploring gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.
Alongside therapy, I also offer individual and group reflective practice sessions and accept EAP and insurance-funded referrals.
If you'd like to know more, feel free to get in touch and we can arrange an initial phone call.
