Rebecca George

I’m a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Central and East Bristol, offering sessions in person, via video, and on the phone, whatever feels most comfortable and workable for you.

I have several years’ experience working with adults through all kinds of issues, alongside three years supporting women all over the country from different social, cultural, and religious backgrounds before and after abortion. This work has broadened my understanding of grief, loss, identity, guilt, shame and the many ways we can relate to ourselves.

The reasons people come to therapy are varied. Whether that reason for you feels clear-cut, or harder to pin down, we can figure it out and explore it together. For me, therapy is collaborative. It’s important that I understand your life as you experience it, including the parts that feel messy, complicated, or difficult to say out loud. If things feel confusing or contradictory, that’s ok, and often a starting point for rich and useful therapy!

Together we might look at emotions, shed light on different aspects of your experiences, notice recurring patterns in relationships, or explore the stories you’ve carried about yourself over time. I’m interested in the relationship you have with yourself-the tone you use internally, the parts you hide and what might shift if that relationship became more curious. We’ll go at your pace, following what feels most present and meaningful.

I also love working creatively, for example with symbolism, metaphor, and creative writing.

Sessions are £50.
